The benefits of swimming

Assalammualaikum and a very good day everyone. I hope that all of you are in a pink of health in this very bad weather. For my entry this time, i would like to talk on the benefits of swimming. Ever since i have become a marine biology student, swimming have been part of my life. It is one of my best hobby ever.  



Swimming is a good exercise which it gives three major benefits. First of all, by practicing swimming, it will burns our calories. For your information, swimming will burns lots of calories but it depends on how good and how buoyant we practicing it. The more we float, the fewer calories will be burn. There is a research that exposed for 10 minutes-swim, breaststroke will burns 60 calories, backstroke burns 80 calories, freestyle burns 100 calories and butterfly stroke able to burn up to 150 calories. So by saying this, swimming is now recognized as one of the calories burner and keeping weight under control. Wow! what a best facts! So all of the young girls out there who wants to keep slim and looking good you should start from now by practicing this. Maybe you can also keep a healthier life for your own good. 

Secondly, swimming will improve our flexibility. There is a wide range of motion when we are swimming. It will help the ligament and our joints to stay loose and flexible. In addition, with each stroke, it will extend our muscles and stretch our body to move forward. Lastly, swimming can reducing the risk of injuries. In water, our body will become lighter 50% compared on land as the weight of our body is accommodated in water. Less pressure will be received by our muscles compare to when we are doing other sports. Thus it can reduce the risk of any injuries.

In a nutshell, swimming gives a lot of benefits. Calories burnt, flexibility improved and less in injuries risk are the main goodness of swimming. As for that why don't we take an action to improve our health by practicing swimming. It is a very good sports for all of the generations. We also can gain so much fun by this sport.
